LINKIN PARK Win RADIO MUSIC Awards

LINKIN PARK grabbed the "Alternative Rock Song of the Year" (for "Numb") and "Rock Artist of the Year" at the 2004 Radio Music Awards at the Aladdin hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip Monday night (Oct. 25).

As previously reported, a CD/DVD package titled "Collision Course" featuring a mash-up collaboration between LINKIN PARK and rapper Jay-Z will be released Nov. 30. The CD features six tracks recorded by the band and the rapper in a studio with LINKIN PARK MC Mike Shinoda producing, while the DVD documents LINKIN PARK and Jay-Z's July 18 onstage performance in West Hollywood, Calif. The performance was produced by Matt Caltabiano and directed by Kimo Proudfoot. Caltabiano was the producer of LINKIN PARK's "In the End" video, which won the MTV award for Best Rock Video in 2002. The "Numb/Encore" single is expected to impact radio Nov. 10.
